The first day of RoadTripMas

So, it turns out, this road tripping is a bit of hard work. I was planning on keeping all you dudes updated every day, but I was dog tired each night, and in some spots my internet connection was like backyard grass owned by three dogs: REALLY PATCHY! 

Anywoofs, here's the low down on day one of our trip. First up we had to finish packing the car. After all my gear went in, there really wasn't much room for anything else! Lucky mum saved a spot for her to drive the CAR!

And then mum put my stinky puss cat brother in the car. 

I was all like "No room for you Dude" And Grayson was all like "Nick off youngster, I'm off to the pet motel" And I was like "No way!" And he was like "See ya, wouldn't wanna be ya".

Anywoofs, enough gansta growling...needless to say we got rid of Grayson on the way :-) And then we were really off on our big adventure! First up we hit a bit of traffic, going down the coast. 

The bad traffic didn't last long.

Then we really got going, and I got comfy. I'm good like that - Mum says I'm a great traveller!

Then we drove, and drove and drove. We drove through some groovy looking bridges.

 And along the way lots of things made Mum laugh. Like the fact that our GPS thought we were in the middle of nowhere on quite a few roads. I think the maps might need updating. I guess that will happen when Mum gets a-round-to-it. (I must find one for her, cos she's always saying she needs to get a-round-to-it.)

Then we drove past a really big PRAWN! It was bigger than our whole car. I LOVE PRAWNS! I wish I could have eaten it, but we had to find a wee stop instead. It was all good though, because Mum found a park and we did our exercises here. I did zoomies with my BALL! Mum did human zoomies called star jumps and burpees. I really helped by going between her legs with each star jump. I'm such a good helper.....

After that Mum said we drove past some yellow barked trees and some brown barked trees. Funny, I couldn't hear them bark yellow or brown. Whatevs, I might have lost interest and gone back to sleep then... if I can't sniff or pee on them I'm not really interested in trees, even barking ones.

Then we drove EVEN some more... we stopped for coffees and for lunch snacks. I woke up then. Sometimes the flies and ants were annoying at these stops and I was happy to get back in the car.

Finally we got to the BEACH! This is where we set up camp. I never want to leave the beach... I always have such a tail wagging time.

Anywoofs. after ALL that sleeping and driving and running on the beach and park, I was ready for a dog nap.  I'll get my photos together from The 2nd Day of RoadTripMas  soonzzzzz

Making a list, and checking it twice...

Mum is making lots of lists. And she has actually checked them more than twice. It's a list of what to take and what to do for our road trip of course! She says she doesn't want to forget anything because it's too far to come back for it!

I've been helping her with our packing list. I've heard it can be cold in Melbourne, so I think I should pack my coat. Apparently anyone who's anyone in Melbourne has a coat. A black coat.

Oh.... mine's not black. It's more a chocolate brown colour. I don't really do black. I'm more of a taupe kind of dog anyway. You know... tan <like, from the beach>, fawn <a friend to play with>, mushroom <meh>, biscuit <mmmmm>, buff <snigger>,  camel <crikey I'm not that tall>, café au lait. Oooh yes, I'm defs a café au lait kind of dog!

Anywoofs, as I was pawing on about.... I'm being a really good helper with the list writing.

I've heard it can rain a bit in Melbourne too, and be quite cold. EVEN in summer! What the woof?? That's a bit ruff I reckon!

In which case I'm suggesting to Mum we take an umbrella, and even though I don't like my jamas, I guess we should take them too. Reality is, I hate being cold more than I hate my jamas. EVEN the HOMEMADE ones!!!

We need to pack a brolly for Melbourne....

Because wearing my embarrassing home made jamas is better than being cold!

Mum said we might go to the BEACH on our road trip! I freaking deaking LOVE the BEACH! I went to the beach earlier this year. There weren't many puppies there, but there was so much space that I did zoomies. And then I ran, and ran and ran and ran, and then I ran some more. I was so brave I even went into the waves... up to my tummy. Yup. I'm SUPER BEACH DOG! Perhaps I'll get Mum to make me dog undies to wear on the outside?! Oops did I woof that out loud right now? errr... awkward.....

My stinky puss cat brother is not coming on our road trip. I don't know what Mum means when she says he'll be have a well deserved break from me... 

I mean, I'm like AWESOME to be around and FUN and I PLAY with TOYSssss. What's not to LOVE!? He's going to a puss-cat motel or something. Whatevs.  There'll be more room in the car. And then I can bark out "Are we there yet?" every couple of hours. 

Anywoofs, it sounds like it's going to be a barking good time to me.  Bring it on!

Road trip preparation

Mum says we're going on a road trip. I'm not really sure what that is, but apparently it involves the CAR! So, it's gotta be good, right? I love the CAR. The car usually means I get to go somewhere fun. Often it's a PARK!!! I love the PARK.

Mum keeps saying it is a really, really long way. I guess it must be a super awesome and BIG park at the end of that drive. I imagine it looks something like this…….

Apparently we need to do lots of planning for our road trip. I don't see what all the fuss is about. I think you just need to take my favourite doughnut bed and lots of treats. I mean, what else could there be to plan?  Oh yeah, and some squeeky toys and some balls. Did I mention treats?

I think Mum should plan to bring GOOD treats like this one.

I heard mum say something about needing to cook lots of meat and freeze it in bite sized pieces for our road trip. Maybe it's for snacks for us along the way? She said something about needing lots so I behave myself. I think mum's forgetting I always behave myself....

I think we might have to sleep in a tent on our road trip. I've slept in tents before. I hope it's not cold. Once I went camping with some fun people but it was so cold I had to wear one of mum's jumpers. Please don't tell anyone about THAT!

I like the CAR. It will mean mum and I get to be together the whole time on this road trip. I'm  SOOOO excited I need another tail to wag!!

Apparently we get to stop at cafes and stuff. I love eating out. People are always nice to me and talk to me so much I find my bottom takes on its own personality and wiggles out of control. WOOF!

I've heard I've got an over active imag - magnetron -imagINATION! That's because I love presents and on this road trip I'm getting some presents. They are likely to be TOYSSSS!!!! Far OUT, I LURVE TOYS!!! TOYS! TOYs!TOYSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I magine that I will get this many TOYSSSSS on Christmas from Santa Paws.

I hope my Xmas morning looks like this. Mum just laughed at me though…..

Anyhow, I hope you can join me on our road trip. It's not until December but I'll keep you posted on the gritty nitty of the planning until then … I mean nitty gritty… Whatevs. I'm not good with sayings. WOOF!!
